Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) Graphite Coke for Steelmaking Carbon Raiser Indonesia
Graphitized Petroleum Coke (GPC) Overview
Classification: Divided into High-Temperature Graphitization and Medium-Temperature (Semi-Graphitized).
🔥 High-Temperature Graphitized Petroleum Coke
- Materials: Raw Petroleum Coke (RPC)
- Process: Long-term calcination at temperatures above 3000℃, achieving complete graphitization.
- Features:
- High fixed carbon
- Low gas impurity content
- Rapid dissolution and high recovery rate
- Application: The first choice for ductile cast iron recarburization.
⚙️ Medium-Temperature / Semi-Graphitized Petroleum Coke
- Materials: Raw Petroleum Coke (RPC)
- Process: High-temperature semi-graphitization; calcination temperature ranges from 1700℃ to 2700℃.
- Features:
- High fixed carbon, fast dissolution, and high recovery
- Moderate sulfur content (0.20% – 0.40%)
- Low nitrogen content (800 – 2000 ppm)
- Offers the same lubrication and clear drawing properties as high-temperature GPC
- Application: Used in the recarburization of gray cast iron; highly cost-effective.
